Box Score Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles in a 3-1 final score on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors delivered 10 hits in the loss with John Garrett, Julio Justo and Steven Perez each posting two hits apiece. Garrett recorded a double during the game. Three Warriors walked during the game. Mike Batten pitched a complete game for the Warriors and struck out a season high 16 batters.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan took an early lead over Toccoa Falls in the bottom of the second. Trey Matthews led off with a single and then advanced to second when Julio Justo singled through the left side. Matthews got out when Jesse Getford hit into a double play. With one runner on, Devin Patrick singled to move Justo to second. With two on, Steven Perez singled to left field to bring Justo in and put the Warriors on top 1-0.
Toccoa Falls countered in the top of the fourth to take a 2-1 run advantage. A home run by TJ Lanning in the top of the ninth inning gave the Screaming Eagles a 3-1 and win the game.
What's Next
The Warriors will have their last home games on April 14 as they continue the three game series against the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles. They will host the annual Daniel's Day before the first game. Southern Wesleyan will then travel to Young Harris on April 17 to take on the Mountain Lions.
