Warriors Shut Down By Trojans

Mount Olive, NC – Southern Wesleyan shut down by Mount Olive in 12-0 loss on Friday evening.

The Warriors posted five hits in the loss to the Trojans with Quinton Bent and Izzy Martinez leading the team with two hits apiece.  Bent hit a double during the game.  Two Warriors walked during the game and Bent posted the lone stolen base.  Southern Wesleyan posted 10 strikeouts in the loss.  Josh Antwine started the game for the Warriors and pitched three innings while striking out one batter.

How It Happened

The Trojan struck early, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning.  They pushed their lead to 8-0 by the end of the fourth inning.  Southern Wesleyan kept Mount Olive from scoring again until the seventh inning with strong pitching by Josh Core and Tyler Rio.  Mount Olive went on to win the game 12-0.

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will continue against the Mount Olive Trojans on March 17 at 1 and 4 p.m.  They will then travel to Mars Hill to take on the Lions on March 20.
