How It Happened:
In their first cross country meet of the season, senior Alana Grant took fifth place with a time of 21:08.09. Freshman Kyra Hood was seconds behind here to take tenth place with a time of 21:45.99. Grant and Hood were followed by Hayley Singletary in 14th with a time of 22:20.98 and Sarah Reeves in 17th with a time 22:42.98. Sophomore Hanan Balawi took 22nd with a time of 23:06.02. She was followed by freshman Dakota Gillespie in 28th and senior Sarah Cash in 29th. Gillespie finished in a time of 24:33.92 and Cash finished with a time of 24:35.75. Freshman Kaitlyn Phillippo took 36th with a time of 27:54.10. She was followed by Chloe Jo Foster in 37th with a time of 28.04.41.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will host a cross country race on Friday, September 15 at 5 p.m. The Warriors will then travel to Queens University to take part in the Royal Challenge on September 29.
