Box Score 2 West Point, GA – The Warriors fell in a double header versus the Point University Skyhawks on Tuesday afternoon. They lost game one and game two in 1-0 final scores.
Lizzie Fela and Maddie Ward posted the loan hits for the Warriors, while Kali Berrigan received the lone walk. Josie Edwards started game one for Southern Wesleyan. Edwards went 7.1 innings while allowing five hits and striking out one of the 30 batters she faced.
The Warriors had a total of four hits in game two. Sara Sweatt, Lizzie Fela, Maddie Ward and Becca White posted a hit each in the game. Tiffany Cathey contributed a sacrifice bunt and Fela went on to steal the lone base for Southern Wesleyan in the loss. Lucy Wolff started in game two for the Warriors. Wolff pitched six innings while allowing six hits and striking out two batters.

How It Happened
Game One:
In a pitcher's duel, both the Skyhawks and the Warriors put up a great defense in game one and did not allow any hits to occur until the game went into overtime and the Skyhawks made the only run of the game to give them the 1-0 victory.
Game Two:
The Skyhawks were quick to put a run on the board in the bottom of the first inning of game. Shea Pendley brought Amber Anderson home on a double to left to give them a 1-0 lead. After the one run crossed the plate, the game became a pitcher's duel with neither team able to get another run home. Point won game two in a 1-0 final.
What's Next:
The Warriors will be at Varsity Field on Wednesday, April 19 when they take on the North Greenville University Crusaders at 4pm and 6pm. The Warriors will have their final home game on Friday, April 21 at 2pm and 4pm and play the Claflin Panthers.
