Haag, Brown, Fulcher, Ware, Crouch Among Those Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Greenville, SC The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Softball Academic All-District honorees were released on this week. Conference Carolinas had 44 student-athletes recognized from 10 institutions.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Southern Wesleyan was honored as five ladies received recognition on the CSC Academic All-District team.  Reagan Fulcher, Megan Ware, Maddie Crouch, Riley Brown, and Olivia Haag joined Softball athletes from nine other institutions from Conference Carolinas on the list.

Olivia Haag was the first Warrior to be named to the CSC Academic All-District list.  Haag, who is majoring in Computer Information Systems, started in the circle for the Warriors in nineteen games during the 2026 season.  The senior out of Buford, GA pitched 101 innings and struck out 71 batters in the season.  Included in that were eleven complete games pitched.  Opponents batted .259 against her and she concluded the season with a 2.22 ERA.  At the plate, Haag had a .292 batting average during her 144 at bats.  Of her 42 hits she collected over the season, she had eight doubles, four triples and three home runs.  Haag went on to have eight stolen bases in the season.  Haag wrapped up the season by being named to the Conference Carolinas At-Large Team and Conference Carolinas All-Tournament Team.

Megan Ware was the next Warrior to receive recognition.  Ware started in all 51 games she played in at third base for the Warriors during the 2026 season.  She went 40 for 131 at the plate during the season for a .305 batting average.  Of her 40 hits she had 12 doubles, two triples and picked up her first collegiate home run against Ferrum.  Ware went on to lead the Warriors by stealing 13 bases during the season.  An Exercise Science major at Southern Wesleyan, Ware was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team as a third baseman at the end of the season.

The Warriors' next member of the CSC Academic All-District Team is Reagan Fulcher.  Fulcher, a junior Business Administration major, played second base throughout the 2026 season for Southern Wesleyan.  In her 148 at bats, she had 48 hits including 14 doubles and three home runs.  She finished the season with a .324 batting average.  The Warriors' second baseman collected 28 RBIs and came in to score 26 runs during the season.  Fulcher was named to the Conference Carolinas At-Large Team at the conclusion of the regular season.

Shortstop Maddie Crouch joined them on the CSC Academic All-District Team.  Crouch is a Physical Education major at Southern Wesleyan.  Starting in 48 of the 49 games she played in for the Warriors, Crouch batted .236 during the season.  She picked up 30 hits including two doubles and a home run.  She went on to steal seven bases during the year.

Riley Brown, an Exercise Science major, was the final Warrior to receive recognition on the CSC Academic All-District Team.  Brown, a junior out of Pelzer, SC, started in center field for the Warriors in 41 of the 45 games she played in.  She accumulated 62 at bats in the season and collected 16 hits including two doubles.  She went seven for seven in stolen bases.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
