Central, S.C. - The Women's Cross Country team finished second in the annual Warrior Invitational earlier this morning.

On a sunny, calm morning that witnessed rising temps later in the day to the 90's, the women's team was paced by Alana Grant, Michelle Last and Hanan Balawi.

Grant(20:58) finished second, 55 seconds off the winning pace of Ivie Nobles(20:03) of Truett-McConnell.  Michelle Last finished third overall with a time of 21:12 and Hanan Balawi finished fifth with a 21:48 run for the Warriors.

SWU finished at 22:07, while Truett posted a 21:47 time to win the meet. Abby Welch(23:11) and Sarah Cash(23:24) finished in the top twenty.

SWU's next meet will be October 8 in Greenville, S.C.
