Box Score NCCAA Softball World Series All-Tournament Team
BOTETOURT, Va.- Southern Wesleyan allowed ten hits in its 9-1 loss to Belhaven in the NCCAA Softball World Series semifinals.
The Blazers (37-8) scored three runs in the bottom of the first and two runs in the bottom of the second for a 5-0 lead. The Warriors (23-31) scored their only run of the game in the top of the fifth as Ashleigh Wilbur scored off of a sacrifice fly by Kelly Cooper. Belhaven scored four more runs in the bottom of the fifth to close out the win.
Lizzie Fela was named to the NCCAA Softball World Series All-Tournament Team.
Seniors Allison Barbee and Ashleigh Wilbur closed out their careers by helping Southern Wesleyan advance to the semifinals of the NCCAA Softball World Series for the first time since 1994 and helped them post consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time in school history.
