Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga.- Southern Wesleyan allowed runs in five different innings in its 14-3 loss to North Georgia.
The Nighthawks (19-15) scored one run in the second inning, two runs in the third, three runs in the fifth, and one run in the sixth for a 7-0 lead. The Warriors (11-25) scored three runs in the top of the seventh off of a three-run home run by Conner Ewing to cut the deficit to four runs. North Georgia responded with two runs in the seventh and five runs in the eighth. Southern Wesleyan left 11 runners on base in the game.
Ewing went 1-for-4 with three RBIs, one run, and one home run. Matt Costa batted 1-for-4 with one run. Brad Bisko went 2-for-3 with one run.
Andrew Howard (3-3) pitched five innings, allowed three earned runs off of five hits, and had four strikeouts.
The Warriors next travel to Pfeiffer for a three-game series April 8-9 with the first game starting at 6 p.m. on Friday.
