CENTRAL, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan allowed 13 hits in its 9-2 loss to Barton.

The Bulldogs (18-10, 8-5 CC) scored two runs in the top of the first inning, two runs in the top of the fifth, and four runs in the top of the sixth for a 8-0 lead. The Warriors (10-19, 2-11 CC) got on the board in the bottom of the sixth as Devin Patrick singled to left field to drive in Dimarkus Sanders. Barton added another run in the top of the eighth. Justin Brew scored on a ground out by Luke Hostetler in the bottom of the eighth to make the score 9-2. All three batters for the Warriors struck out in the bottom of the ninth to end the game.

Southern Wesleyan wraps up its three-game series against Barton tomorrow March 26 with a 1 p.m. doubleheader. Tomorrow is also Kid's Day and more information can be found on the baseball page on the athletics website.
