Box Score 2 FLORENCE, S.C.- Lizzie Fela went 4-for-7 with two RBIs and two runs scored as Southern Wesleyan swept Francis Marion 6-4 and 1-0.
In game one, the Patriots (0-2) got on the board first as they scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Warriors (2-2) responded with four runs in the top of the fifth. Natalie Johnson scored off of a sacrifice fly by Allison Barbee, Fela drove in two runs on a single, and Kelly Cooper singled to drive in Fela. They added two more runs in the top of the seventh as Sara Sweatt scored off an error and Katie Byrd drove in Fela with a single. Southern Wesleyan held Francis Marion to one run in the bottom of the seventh to seal the win.
Fela went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Sweatt hit 1-for-4 with two runs scored.
Lucy Wolff (1-0) pitched a complete game and allowed four runs off of eight hits.
In game two, the Warriors scored the only run of the game in the top of the third as the Patriots walked Barbee with the bases loaded and scored Johnson.
Hunter Hoskins (1-1) pitched a complete game, allowed seven hits, and had one strikeout.
Southern Wesleyan next travels to Coker Feb. 13 for a doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m.
