Box Score CENTRAL, S.C.- DiMarkus Sanders went 2-for-4 with one RBI in Southern Wesleyan's 2-0 win over Toccoa Falls.
The Warriors (1-0) first scored in bottom of the fourth inning as Sanders drove in Drew Carson with a double. They added another run in the bottom of the fifth as Zach Mondoux drove in Matt Costa with a single to centerfield. Southern Wesleyan held the Eagles (0-1) to three hits.
J.J. Julian (1-0) started the game, pitched 4.2 innings, recorded eight strikeouts, and did not allow any hits. Andrew Howard and Bryce Bearden pitched 3.1 innings of relief with two hits and three strikeouts. Jordan Finister picked up the save as he pitched one inning, allowed one hit, and had one strikeout.
The Warriors finish up their three-game series against Toccoa Falls with a doubleheader tomorrow Feb. 6 that starts at 12 p.m.
