Box Score 2 WEST POINT, GA.- Sara Sweatt batted 6-for-9 with four RBIs and 3 runs in Southern Wesleyan's 10-5 and 10-1 wins against Point.
In game one, the Warriors (6-4) scored four runs in the top of the first inning. The Skyhawks (9-3) responded with three runs in the bottom of the second to cut the deficit to one run. Southern Wesleyan scored four runs in the top of the fourth to stretch their lead to five runs. They added two more runs in the top of the seventh and held Point to two runs in the bottom of the seventh to seal the victory.
Sweatt went 3-for-5 with two runs. Allison Barbee went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Lucy Wolff (3-1) pitched a complete game, allowed four earned runs off of six hits, and had one strikeout.
In game two, the Warriors scored two runs in the top of the first and four runs in the top of the fourth for a 6-0 lead. The Skyhawks scored their only run in the bottom of the fourth. Southern Wesleyan added four more runs in the fifth and sixth innings to close out the game.
Sweatt batted 3-for-4 with four RBIs and one run. Jessica Burks went 1-for-2 with one RBI and two runs.
Hunter Hoskins (3-2) pitched a complete game, allowed one run off of six hits, and had three strikeouts.
The Warriors next travel to Georgia Southwestern Feb. 20 for a doubleheader that starts at 2 p.m.
