SWU Gains Second Season Win

Southern Wesleyan produced a first half lead and held on to claim their second victory of the season.

The Warriors battled hard throughout the first half of the game with 14 shots on goal.  Columbia International countered with five shots on goal in the same period.  The score remained 0-0 until seconds before the buzzer sounded when Rachel Curtis gave the Warriros a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Columbia International put up a fight, taking 8 shots on goal.  However, the Warriors were able to quell all their attempts giving them their second win of the season.  Southern Wesleyan University improves their record to 2-8, while Columbia International Univeristy's record becomes 5-4.

Throughout the game, SWU got 20 shots on goal.  Columbia International had 8 shots on goal with SWU's Courtney McNeill collecting six saves during the game.

The Warriors will host Limestone at Childs Field on October 8 at 5:00 pm.
