The Women's Cross Country team finished seventh in the Conference Carolina's Championship hosted by Belmont Abbey College in Concord, North Carolina.  They had a team time of 2:10:48, with an average time of 26:09.

The team was led by junior runner Michelle Last.  Last ran 25:36 in the 6K, making a school record in time.  She was followed by Hanan Balawi who ran a 25:47.  Alana Grant and Abbey Welch were the next two runners to cross for Southern Wesleyan.  Grant, a junior, received a time of 26:29, and Welch, also a junior, received a time of 26:59.

The Conference Carolina's Championship was won by the University of Mount Olive who received a team time of 1:59:07.  Mount Olive's leading runner was freshman Leah Hanle who crossed the finish line with a time of 22:29.

The Warriors also received five Conference Carolinas All Academic awards for the Women's Cross Country team.  They included Grant, Last, Welch, Sarah Cash and Jordan Hargrave.

Southern Wesleyan University Warriors will next run in the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet.
