Second half surge leads to the second Conference Carolinas win for the Southern Wesleyan Warriors.

Southern Wesleyan came into the game with their first Conference Carolinas win of the season under their belts and ready to take the field by storm.  The first half proved uneventful for both the Warriors and the Lions of Emmanuel College.  Despite several shots on goal by both teams, neither team could produce a goal.  The teams went into halftime tied 0-0.

The Warriors returned from half time ready to show the Lions who they were.  It started early into the second half with a goal by sophomore forward Charlie Brown, her first goal of the season.  That goal was followed by two goals, one by junior midfielder Kayla Doyle and the other by senior forward Grace Taylor.

Courtney McNeill contributes to the win with 4 saves, bringing her season saves up to 84.  Doyle, Rachel Curtis and Meo Owens all received assists over the course of the win.  The Warriors took 7 shots on goal during the contest.

The win brings the Southern Wesleyan University team's record to 4-9 in season play and 2-5 in Conference.  The Emmanuel College Lions become 1-11-2 in regular play and 1-4-2 in Conference Carolina play.

The Warriors will next travel to King on Wednesday, October 19th.  They will return home on October 22 at 1 p.m. to take on the North Greenville University Crusaders for Homecoming weekend at Southern Wesleyan University.
