Badgers Defeat Warriors 4-1 Friday Afternoon in the Classic on the Hill

MOBILE, Ala. - Brii Hydes scored her second goal of the season in the 39th minute of play to cut the Spring Hill lead to one, but the Warriors would eventually fall 4-1 on Friday afternoon in the Classic on the Hill. 

Darby Rasch scored two goals within the first 18 minutes of play to put the Badgers ahead 2-0. SWU senior Brii Hydes put the Warriors on the scoreboard as she headed the ball past the Spring Hill goalkeeper off of a nice corner kick from freshman Meo Owens. The assist was the first of Owens' career. The Badgers would tack on two more goals in the 56th and 83rd minutes, respectively to put the game away. 

The Badgers outshot the Warriors 37-4 and had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper Courtney McNeill recorded 11 saves in the game. 

The Warriors return to action Saturday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. against Oklahoma Baptist in the team's final game of the tournament and final game of the regular season.
