HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The Southern Wesleyan women's cross country team recorded an 18th place finish in the NCCAA National Championship held in cold and windy upstate New York on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The Warriors finished with a total time of 1:51:25 and an average time of 22:17 in the 5K race. Cedarville won the race with a total time of 1:31:56 and an average time of 18:23.
Alana Grant was the top runner for Southern Wesleyan, finishing with a time of 20:28 as the sophomore averaged a 6:35 mile. Michelle Last and Kira Emmett finished in 105th and 106th place with times of 22:08 and 22:09, respectively.
Sarah Cash ran the course in 23:01 and finished in 123rd place. Ashley Rhodes (130th), and Becky Tarone (132nd) finished with times of 23:38 and 24:09.
The NCCAA Championship concluded the fall season for the Warriors.
