Warriors Fall 4-0 to Saints Thursday Night

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Southern Wesleyan women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Limestone on Thursday night. With the loss the Warriors fall to 1-8 on the season while the Saints improve to 9-1. 

The two teams played a scoreless first half of play. 

Right out of the gate in the second half the Saints got on the board as Isidora Hernandez scored off an assist from Millie Shaw in the 49th minute. Two minutes later Alex Mathis scored off of a Megan O'Connor corner kick to put the Saints up 2-0. In the 71st minute Shaw added a goal off her own as O'Connor again assisted. In the 72nd minute Naiara Kapstein netted the fourth goal of the game for the Saints off of a free kick from about 30 yards out. 

Courtney McNeill recorded 11 saves in the loss.  The Warriors return to action Saturday at Mt. Olive at 1 p.m.
