Warriors Fall 3-0 to Pfeiffer Saturday Afternoon

CENTRAL, S.C. - Corey Morrell's women's soccer team fought hard but ultimately fell 3-0 to Pfeiffer on Saturday afternoon at Southern Wesleyan's new soccer and track complex. With the loss the Warriors fall to 2-13-1 overall and 0-10-1 in Conference Carolinas while Pfeiffer improves to 7-8-2 on the season and 5-5-1 in conference play. 

Aaliyah Jackson scored all three goals for the Falcons. The first goal, on a pass from Hailey Havelind, came just eight minutes into the game as Jacskon took the pass and shot from about 18 yards out. 

The 1-0 lead remained until the half. Less than two minutes out of the half Jackson added another goal from about eight yards out. In the 56th minute she would score her third of the game, a hat trick, and the lead would hold. Jackson's third goal snuck past Warrior goalkeeper Courtney McNeill on a one-on-one and snuck into the lower left corner of the net. 

The Falcons had a 33-5 advantage in shots and 8-0 edge in corner kicks. McNeill recorded 17 saves in goal for Southern Wesleyan. 

Today's game was the final home game and senior day for the Warriors, who head on the road next to play Spring Hill and Oklahoma Baptist in the "Classic on the Hill 2015" tournament. Southern Wesleyan plays host school Spring Hill on Friday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. and Oklahoma Baptist Saturday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. to end the regular season.
