Warriors With Strong Showing, Finish Third in Toccoa Falls Invitational

TOCCOA, Ga. -  John Fredrickson recorded a fourth place finish, pacing the Southern Wesleyan men's cross country team to a third place finish in the Toccoa Falls Invitational on Oct. 31. The Warriors finished with a time of 74 minutes as a team and finished beehind Truett McConnell and Bob Jones, but ahead of Columbia International and JTU.

"This was a strong meet for us," said coach Greg Thiel. "We think we are really ready for nationals. This was the best top to bottom finish this year for both the men and women."

Fredrickson recorded a time of 27:27 en route to a fourth place finish, finishing just 38 seconds behind Luis Gonzalez of Truett McConnell, the winner. Andrew Hochhalter finished in 14th place with a time of 29:30 with teammate Robert Gwinn 10 seconds behind, finishing in 16th place.

Jon Gibbons was the fourth Warrior with a top 20 finish as his time of 30:25 was good enough for 19th place. Mason Simms finished in 30:50 (21st place), Brennan Camili ran the course in 31:30 (25th place), and William Akridge recorded a time of 33:57 (30th place).
