MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan women's soccer suffered a setback in their Conference Carolinas opener, falling to Pfeiffer 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors (0-4, 0-1 CC) fell behind early as Gretchen Dettlinger netted a goal just four minutes into the match. Six minutes later the Falcons (3-3, 1-1 CC) added another and led 3-0 at halftime before adding the fourth goal just three minutes into the second half.
Pfeiffer managed to take 21 shots to just four for the Warriors as Grace Taylor put the only two shots on frame in the match. The Falcons also took nine corner kicks to just two for the Warriors.
SWU is back in action on Wednesday with their home opener, hosting the defending Conference Carolinas Champion Lees-McRae at 5 p.m.
