TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. – Southern Wesleyan women's cross country won their second meet of the season on Saturday, winning the Toccoa Falls Invitational on Saturday with a dominating performance.
Sierra Zemanick highlighted the day, winning the race by 30 seconds as the Warriors placed three in the top-four and saw all five scorers finish in the top-11. Zemanick turned in a time of 19:37 on the 5K course while Alana Grant and Michelle Last also placed in the top-5.
Grant was third overall with a time of 20:33 while Last finish just five seconds behind Grant for fourth overall. Kira Emmett placed seventh with a time of 21:05 as Shy'Keya Wimberly placed 11th, turning in a time of 21:30.
All eight runners placed in the top half of the field on Saturday as Sarah Cash (14th, 22:16), Brandi Jackson (17th, 22:29) and Ashley Rhodes (21st, 22:43) all compete for the Warriors.
SWU totaled 26 points in the meet, far outdistancing themselves from the five-team field. Bob Jones was second overall with 62 points.
The Warriors will take a week off before heading to New York and Houghton College for the NCCAA National Championship on Nov. 15.
