Box Score
CENTRAL, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan couldn't find the equalizer on Saturday as North Greenville escaped with a 1-0 win over the Warriors during Homecoming on the SWU campus on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors created chances but not enough and couldn't convert as NGU pulled out the win on the strength of Franki Jumper's 35th minute goal. Jumper scored as Lindsay Tuten crossed a ball into the box that Jumper put into the back of the net.
Each team took eight shots in the game with SWU taking six in the second half. Maggie McMenimen led the team with three shots – all on target – before exiting with an injury in the second half. McMenimen was moved up top to start the second half, away from her typical defensive position as the Warriors searched for the equalizer.
The Warriors hit the road for the final time this season as they head to Converse on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
