Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. – An early second-half goal propelled Spring Hill past Southern Wesleyan in women's soccer action on Friday night.
The Warriors (2-6-1, 0-3-0 SSAC) had several chances but couldn't find the back of the net. Grace Taylor and Abbie McDonald had two shots each, both on goal. Krista Anonie made nine stops in goal for SWU as they suffered their third straight loss.
Courtney Harlan netted the game's first goal in the 48th minute, scoring from wide on the wing and placing the ball over the reach of Anonie. Darby Rasch added an insurance goal in the 87th for the Badgers (7-2-0, 2-1-0 SSAC). Spring Hill took 16 shots in the match, putting 11 on target.
The Warriors will have a quick turnaround to host Mobile on Saturday at 5 p.m. Mobile is receiving votes in the NAIA national poll.
