Box Score HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Wesleyan women's soccer couldn't stand up to the 13th ranked team in the NAIA on Friday night, falling 4-0 to William Carey.
The Warriors (2-4-1, 0-1-0 SSAC) managed just two shots on the night. SWU's lone shot on goal came off the foot of Kaitie Aldrich. William Carey (4-4-0, 1-0-0 SSAC) was led by Emmaleigh Davis' hat-trick. Davis scored twice in the first half and added a third after the break as well as an assist.
William Carey's speed was too much for the Warriors to keep up with on this night as the Lady Crusaders fired 33 shots including 15 on target. Krista Anonie made 11 saves in goal for the Warriors.
SWU will battle Belhaven on Saturday. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m. but will start after Belhaven's football game is completed.
