CLINTON, Miss. – The Southern Wesleyan men's cross country team finished sixth at the Southern States Athletic Conference meet at Choctaw Trails.

Josh Thatcher finished 16th for the Warriors as SWU took 6th of 11 teams on Saturday.  Thatcher turned in a time of 26:58 on the 8K course.  John Fredrickson was just two spots behind Thatcher, turning in a time of 27:08.

Nick Shear was 30th out of the 93 runners on the day with a time of 28:04.  Drew Welch was 39th with a time of 28:21 and Stephen Spearman was 47th in 28:54 to round out the scorers for SWU.

Emmanuel won the race with a near perfect score of 18.  Four of the top five runners were from Emmanuel as Jonah Holbert won the race in a time of 25:31.

The Warriors will head to Cedarville, Ohio next weekend to run in the NCCAA National Meet hosted by Cedarville University.
