Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. –Southern Wesleyan women's soccer fell to powerhouse Auburn-Montgomery on Saturday night 5-1 in SSAC action.
The Warriors scored for the first time in over a month but it was not enough to overcome the weapons from the Warhawks. AUM (10-6, 6-3 SSAC) led just 1-0 at the half, scoring on a goal from Nicole Letford's foot as she got behind the defense.
Brittany Woodhouse scored the lone goal for the Warriors (2-12-1, 0-9 SSAC) on a penalty kick in the 81st minute, making the score 5-1. Five different Warhawks scored on the night for AUM.
Krista Anonie made six stops for the Warriors and Chloe Crook made two saves for AUM. The Warhawks took 26 shots in the match to just seven for the Warriors.
SWU will head to Brewton-Parker on Wednesday before returning home to host Brenau on Saturday on senior day and the season finale.
