Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan Men's Basketball and Head Coach Joel Stites are excited to welcome eleven new faces to the 2026-27 roster.  Seven states and one country will be represented in the signing class.  The Warriors will welcome Titus Driver, Zion Dixon, Jeremiah Camara, Logan Godfrey, Isaiah Davis, RJ Lacossade, Jake Hatch, D'Marcus Thomas, Jaren Morton, Isaiah Smith, and Drew Chisley to Southern Wesleyan this upcoming fall semester.

"We are super excited to have our new additions on campus in the next few weeks," commented Head Coach Joel Stites.  "We don't just recruit basketball players. I personally believe that the relationships cultivated over the summer with our recruits and returners allow for a smoother beginning. I'm proud of our staff for all their hard work this off-season. We look forward to raising the bar even higher this upcoming season. We will be fun to watch!"

The Warriors will bring in two South Carolina products in freshman D'Marcus Thomas and NAIA transfer Jeremiah Camara.

D'Marcus Thomas will join the Warriors from Charleston, SC where he attended Westwood High School.  A guard for the Redhawks, he was named the Midlands Player of the Year this past season.  He went on to receive All-State and All-Region honors.  He was also selected as a North South All-Star during his high school career.  He averaged 24.5 points per game and 6.5 assists per game.  Thomas concluded his high school career by scoring 1000 points and being named the State Champion MVP.

Southern Wesleyan's other signee from South Carolina is Jeremiah Camara.  A native of Simpsonville, SC, Camara will join the Warriors after spending several years at NAIA Coastal Georgia.  A 6-7 forward for the Mariners, he averaged nine points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.  He was a Sun Conference Honorable Mention.  In high school, he was named Team MVP and received the Culture Award.

The Warriors will bring in two players from North Carolina in junior college transfers Isaiah Smith and Zion Dixon.

The first of the two signees from North Carolina, Isaiah Smith will join the Warriors after spending time at Louisburg Community College.  The guard who hailed from Roxboro, NC averaged 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.  Prior to that, he was an All-State and All-Conference player at his high school.  He helped lead his team to their first twenty plus win season where they went on to advance to their first ever final four.

Zion Dixon will join the Warriors via Winston-Salem, NC.  After high school, Dixon spent time at both Catawba Community College and Independence Community College.  In his first year at Catawba Community College, he earned National JUCO Player of the Week honors and went on to set the school's single game scoring record.  He averaged 17 points per game and 6.7 assists per game to be named First Team All-Region.  In high school, Dixon earned All-Conference honors three times.  He also was named All-Area, All-District and was an All-State Honorable Mention.

Isaiah Davis and Logan Godfrey will both travel up to South Carolina from the Sunshine State.

Isaiah Davis will join the Warriors after spending time at Fort Scott Community College.  While at Fort Scott, he maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned President's Honor Roll honors.  A native of Orlando, FL, Davis assisted his high school team as they went on to be named District Runner-ups.  He went on to be ranked in the top 10 in the district in steals.

Southern Wesleyan's next transfer signee from Florida is Logan Godfrey.  A native of Tallahassee, Florida, the 6-9 forward spent the past couple of seasons at Thomas University, a NAIA school based out of Thomasville, Georgia.  Prior to playing several seasons with the Night Hawks, Godfrey helped his high school team to three district championships and one regional championship.  He went on to receive First Team All-State in high school.

Hailing from Hoover, Alabama, Jake Hatch will come to Southern Wesleyan after spending time at Cumberland University, a NAIA school in Tennessee.  While there, the 6-10 forward averaged six points while shooting 40% from beyond the arc.  Prior to his time at Cumberland, Hatch spent a couple seasons with the Cavaliers of UVA Wise.  In his high school career, Hatch helped his team win the State Championship during his senior season.

Transferring into Southern Wesleyan from Franklin Pierce University is Jaren Morton.  Morton travels to Central, SC via Burlington, New Jersey.  Prior to his time at Franklin Pierce, he spent two seasons at Virginia Military Institute (VMI).  The 6-6 guard earned First Team All Inter AC and All-State PAISAA in high school.

Joining the Warriors from Idaho Falls, Idaho is Titus Driver.  A 7-0 forward, Driver spent his first year of college at Peninsula College where he averaged 5.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.  In high school, he helped his team win the district and went on to earn First Team All-Region honors.

Traveling down to Central, SC from Minneapolis, MN is JUCO transfer Drew Chisley.  Chisley spent time at NDSCS where he averaged ten points and six rebounds per game.  While at his JUCO, he helped his team break the school record of wins in a season as they went 31-2.  His team went on to win regionals during his time there.

The Warriors lone international signee is RJ Lacossade who will join the Warriors from the Turks and Caicos Islands.  Lacossade, a 6-5 guard, attended Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Georgia during his high school career.  While there he scored over 1000 career points while earning All-Conference honors during all three seasons.  He went on to receive All-State recognition during the 2025-26 season after he averaged 21 points per game, nine rebounds per game and two steals per game.  "I'm excited to continue growing as a player while competing at a high level and helping Southern Wesleyan succeed," mentioned Lacossade.
