Jonesborough, TN – Southern Wesleyan finished in third place in the Agnes McAmis Memorial on Sunday. Mia Andrade, Caitlyn Gaines and Allie Thomas each finished in the top fifteen in the tournament.

How It Happened
Mia Andrade led the Warriors in their third tournament of the spring season. Andrade finished in a tie for third place with a score of 146. In the first round, she shot a 75. She then shot one under par for a 71 to set a new school record for a score over 18 holes.
She was followed in the tournament by fellow freshman Caitlyn Gaines. Gaines opened up the tournament by shooting a 76. She then shot a 76 in the second round as well to give her a total round score of 152. Gaines ended the tournament in eleventh place.
Southern Wesleyan's third golfer in the top 15 was Allie Thomas. Thomas shot five over par for a 77 in the first round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial. She then shot a 78 in the second round to give her a total round score of 155 and put her in a tie for 13th.
Finishing in a tie for 20th in the tournament was Barrett Owens. Owens shot rounds of 80 in both rounds of the tournament. She finished with a total round score of 160.
Amelia Alonso was the next Warrior to finish in the tournament. Alonso opened up the tournament by shooting a 77. She then shot an 87 in the second round. Her total round score of 164 allowed her to finish in 29th.
Competing as an individual in the tournament was Kendall Livingston. Livingston opened up the tournament by shooting an 87. She then shot an 89 in the second round to give her a 176 total round score and allowed her to take 39th.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will compete in both the Trailblazer Spring Invitational in Travelers Rest, SC and the Greenwood Invitational in Greenwood, SC on March 23-24. The Warriors will compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on April 12-14 in Spartanburg, SC.
