How It Happened
Mia Andrade led the Warriors in the first tournament of the 2026-27 season. She started off the Golden Mane Classic with a 78 in the first round. She then went on to shoot a 79 in the second round and an 82 in the final round to give her a total round score of 239. Andrade finished in a tie for fifth place to gain her first top 10 finish of the young season.
She was followed by Amelia Alonso. Alonso shot a 91 in the first round before battling back in the second round to shoot an 81. In the final round, she shot an 85 to give her a total round score of 257 and put her in a tie for 22nd place.
The Warriors third finisher in the tournament was Victoria Gullo. Gullo opened up the Golden Mane Classic with a 91. She then shot a 95 in the second round. In the final round, Gullo shot an 88 to give her a total round score of 274 and put her in a tie for 39th place.
Caitlyn Leonhardt was the fourth Warrior to finish. She shot rounds of 97 in each of the three rounds of the Golden Mane Classic. Her total round score of 291 allowed her to take 43rd place.
Wrapping up the field for the Warriors is Kendall Livingston. Livingston shot a 99 in the first round of the tournament. She then shot an 100 in the second round and a 93 in the final round to give her a total round score of 292. Livingston finished in 44th place.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next compete in the Annual Battle at Black Diamond in Lecanto, FL on September 21-22. They will then partake in the Glassy Mountain Autumn Classic on October 5-6 hosted by North Greenville in Landrum, SC.
