Spartanburg, SC – Southern Wesleyan finished in second place in the Converse Spring Invite on Tuesday afternoon. Mia Andrade led the Warriors as she took third place in the tournament.

How It Happened
Mia Andrade led the Warriors during the Converse Spring Invite as she finished in third place. Andrade shot a 78 in the first round. She then battled back to shoot a 73 in the second round for a total round score of 151.
Southern Wesleyan's next finishers in the tournament were Caitlyn Gaines and Allie Thomas who both finished in a tie for tenth place. Gaines shot an 83 in the first round. She then fought back to shoot a 79 in the sound round for a 162 total round score. Thomas shot an 80 in the first round before shooting an 82 in the second round for a 162 total round score.
Finishing in a tie for 27th place was Amelia Alonso. Alonso started the tournament by shooting an 85. She then shot an 87 in the second round for a total round score of 172.
What's Next
The Warriors will travel to Jonesborough, TN on March 16-17 to compete in Tusculum's Agnes McAmis Memorial. They will then travel down the road to Travelers Rest, SC to compete in the Trailblazer Spring Invitational hosted by North Greenville on March 23-24. Also on March 23-24, some of the Warriors will travel to Greenwood, SC to complete in the Greenwood Invitational.
