Volleyball Announces Three Additions to 2025 Signing Class

Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan Volleyball and Head Coach Anna Heinz are excited to announce the final three signees for the 2025 signing class.  Of the three, the Warriors will welcome two freshman and one transfer.

Southern Wesleyan will bring in two freshman athletes in Annasophia Vranjes and Kylie Ramey.

A Vranjes signingAnnasophia Vranjes will travel to Central, SC from Orinda, CA.  Vranjes attended Berean Christian High School where she played outside and opposite-side hitter.  While playing with the Eagles, her team went on to be named State Champions, North Coast Section Champions, Regional Champions and were two time League Champions.  She served as a team captain and, during her high school career, she received both 1st Team All-league and 2nd Team All-League honors.  Vranjes also received the Distinguished Christian High School Student Award for Athletics.

Once she arrives to Southern Wesleyan, she intends to major in pre-medical science.  Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 61:3 which reads, "To bestow in them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."

K RameyThe Warriors will welcome another local product in Kylie Ramey.  Ramey is from Seneca, SC and attended Seneca High School.  She served as a middle blocker and opposite side hitter for the Bobcats.  Ramey's favorite quote comes from Winnie the Pooh when he said, "life is a journey to experience, not a problem to be solved."  She intends to major in mathematics and minor in education during her time at Southern Wesleyan.

C Covey signingThe Warriors will welcome Calie Covey, a native of Pickens, SC, after she spent the first three seasons of her collegiate career at Limestone.  While playing for the Saints, the defensive specialist and libero recorded a season high 293 digs in her 2023 season.  More recently, she had 75 digs in the 2025 season.  Prior to her time at Limestone, Covey played for Pickens High School.  While playing with the Blue Flames, the team became 4A State Champions in 2021.  She intends to major in Business Management at Southern Wesleyan.
