Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan Volleyball and Head Coach Anna Heinz are excited to announce the 2025 signing class! The Warriors will be bringing in five ladies from five states in the class. They will welcome in three freshmen in Briley Wolff, Kaylon Chapman and Hayley Ratliff, along with two transfers in Kassie Swink and Katelyn Baxley.
The Warriors first signee is a local product in Kaylon Chapman. Chapman hails from right down the road in Picken, SC where she attended Pickens High School. An outside hitter for the Blue Flame, Chapman recorded the most kills, digs, and aces during Pickens' 2024 season. Her team went on to be named the 2024 State Champions where she also received State Championship MVP honors along with being named the Offensive Player of the Year. She went on to receive both All-Region and All-State honors.
Chapman's favorite Bible verse is Luke 1:49 which reads, "For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name." She plans to major in Business Administration when she gets to campus this fall.
Joining the Warriors from the Peach State is middle blocker and opposite side hitter Hayley Ratliff. Ratliff hails from Valdosta, GA where she attended Lowndes High School. After the 2024 season, she received Second Team All-Region honors and was named a Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-Star.
Ratliff plans to major in Pre-Medical Science when she comes to campus for her freshman season with the Warriors.
Chapman and Ratliff will be joined by another freshman in Briley Wolff. Wolff will join Southern Wesleyan via Boerne, Texas where she attended Champion High School. A middle blocker, she was named to First Team All-District in 2024 and went on be named to the 2024 All-Tournament Team in the Boerne Independent School District Tournament. In 2023, Wolff was named the Defensive MVP.
Wolff's favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28 which reads, "and we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." The Texas native put in work off the court as well as she received Academic All-District honors in 2022 through 2024. She plans to major in Business and Marketing during her time with the Warriors.
Joining the three freshmen will be two transfers in Katelyn Baxley and Kassie Swink.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Katelyn Baxley will join the Warriors after playing for Keiser University during her freshman season. While playing with the Seahawks as a middle blocker, Baxley played in 12 matches where she totaled 27 kills, 16 blocks, 11 digs, two assists and four aces. Prior to her time there, she played for Providence High School where she was named to the National Honor Society.
Her favorite Bible verse is John 3:30 which reads, "He must become great, and I must become less." Once she comes to Southern Wesleyan this fall, Baxley plans on majoring in Business and Marketing.
The Warriors will welcome their second transfer in the form of a setter and defensive specialist in Kassie Swink. Swink will come to the Warriors via Albemarle, North Carolina and Cleveland Community College. In her time at Cleveland Community College, she has picked up 1000 career assists. She also was named Third Team All-Region after both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Prior to playing for the Yetis of Cleveland Community College, Swink attended South Stanly High School.
Swink's favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:10 which reads, "For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.". Her brother, Garrett Swink, is a current member of the Warriors' baseball program as a pitcher. She plans to major in Recreation and Sports Management during her time at Southern Wesleyan.
