Central, SC - Southern Wesleyan is excited to announce Amberly Way of Softball as this week's Mug Shot Coffee Athlete of the Week.

Way, a utility player for the Warriors, led the team in the season opener on January 31.  In the 9-1 victory over the Albany State Golden Rams, she recorded two home runs including a grand slam to total seven RBIs in the game.  She also had a double.

In the second game of the day, Way went one for three at the plate and brought in another run in the Warriors 8-2 run victory.

Against Fort Valley State on February 1, the sophomore hit her third home run of the season.  She had two RBIs as the Warriors defeated Fort Valley 3-2.

Over the course of all three games, Way posted a .455 AVG.
