Greensboro, GA – Southern Wesleyan took seventh in the Newberry Women's Fall Invitational. Both Allie Thomas and Caitlyn Gaines finishing in the top twenty in the tournament.

How It Happened
Allie Thomas led the Warriors in the Newberry Women's Fall Invitational. In the first round of the tournament, Thomas carded an 81 including shooting under par on hole fifteen's par four. Thomas wrapped up the tournament by recording an 82 in the second round. Her total round score of 163 allowed her to finish in a tie for 15th.
Caitlyn Gaines was the next Warrior to finish as she shot an 85 in the first round. The freshman out of Lexington, SC fought back in the final round of the tournament as she carded an 81. Gaines' total round score of 166 allowed her to just finish within the top twenty as she finished in a tie for 19th place.
Right behind Gaines was Barrett Owens. In the first round of the tournament, she carded an 83. Owens went on to card an 86 in the second round. Her total round score of 169 allowed her to finish in a tie for 24th place.
The Warriors next finisher was Victoria Gullo. After shooting a 90 in the first round of the tournament, Gullo shot another score of 90 in the second round. Her total round score of 180 allowed Gullo to finish in a tie 41st.
Amelia Alonso picked up her first eagle of the season during the first round of the Newberry tournament. She went on to shoot an 85 during the round. In the final round of the tournament, Alonso shot a 96 to give her a total round score of 181 and put her in a tie for 45th.

Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the fall season on October 27-28 as they take part in the Converse Fall Invite in Inman, SC.
