Spartanburg, SC – Southern Wesleyan finished in sixth place in the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning. Merritt Smith earn All-Conference Third Team honors after her 18th place individual finish.

How It Happened
The Warriors were led by Merritt Smith in the championship race as she claimed 18th with a time of 23:52.4. She was followed by senior Macey Morgan who's time of 24:45.3 allowed her to finish in 28th. Divinity Ervin was the next Warrior to finish as she crossed the line in 24:57.7 to take 33rd. Right on her heels was Ava LaBrant who took 37th with a time of 25:10.6.
Southern Wesleyan's fifth finisher in the championship was Kristi Gallagher who took 40th with a time of 25:28.0. Senior Janey Dixon finished in 53rd place with a time of 26:37.6. Susie Stutz and Elena Juarez were the next two Warriors to finish. Stutz took 81st with a time of 28:04.5 and Juarez finished in 82nd with a time of 28:04.8. Nicole Feagan wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she finished in 91st with a time of 29:06.6.
