Greenville, SC – Southern Wesleyan finished in fifth after the first round of the Cherokee Valley NGU Invitational on Monday. Due to inclement weather, the final round of competition scheduled for March 16 was canceled.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan sent both a team and several individuals to the Cherokee Valley NGU Invitational on March 15 and 16. On the team side, the Warriors were led by
Adrienne O'Brien in the first round. O'Brien shot a first round of 85 to put her in a tie for 10
th place. She was followed by
Emileigh Swords in a tie for 15
th after shooting a first round of 87.
Isabel Matos was the next Warrior on the team side as she shot a first round score of 89 to put her in a tie for 21
st place. Matos was followed by
Sarah Page. Page shot a first round of 95 to put her in 26
th place. Wrapping up the team portion was
Kaylia McIntyre. McIntyre shot a 100 in the first round to put her in 30
th.
Both
Rachel Page and
Sarah Prater competed as individuals in the tournament. Page shot a 101 in the first round to put her in a tie for 31
st and Prater shot a 107 to put her in 33
rd.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the regular season on March 29 and 30 as they take part in the Lander Invitational in Greenwood, SC. The Warriors will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Women's Championship April 11 through 13 in Spartanburg, SC.
