Warriors Move to Ninth After the Second Round

Destin, FL – Southern Wesleyan is in ninth after the second round of the Emerald Coast Classic on Monday afternoon.

How It Happened

Emileigh Swords continued to lead the Warriors after the first two rounds.  After shooting a 78 in the first round, Swords shot an 80 in the second round to give her a 158 total round score to put her in a tie for 13th.  She was followed by Kaylia McIntyre.  McIntyre shot an 84 in the first round before coming back to shoot an 80 in the second round to give her a 164 total round score and put her in a tie for 27th.

Emily Floyd is the next Warrior in the standings as she is sitting in a tie for 35th after shooting an 85 and 81 for a 166 total round score.  Behind Floyd, Jesse Dalton shot a first round of 85 before shooting a 92 for a 177 total round score.  Her score put her in a tie for 50th

Sarah Page is the final Warrior to finish after the second round of competition.  Page shot back-to-back rounds of 94 to give her a 188 total round score.  Her score allowed her to sit in a tie for 62nd.

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will conclude the Emerald Coast Classic on March 10.  They will then take part in the Cherokee Valley Intercollegiate on March 23-24 in Tigerville, SC.  The Warriors will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on April 5-7.
