Southern Wesleyan Finishes Emerald Coast Classic in Ninth

Destin, FL – Southern Wesleyan finished in ninth at the Emerald Coast Classic on Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened

Emileigh Swords led the Warriors at the Emerald Coast Classic as she finished in a tie for 21st.  After shooting a 78 in the first round and an 80 in the second round, Swords shot an 81 in the final round to give her a 239 total round score.  She was followed by Kaylia McIntyre.  McIntyre shot an 84, 80 and 88 for a 252 total round score.  Her total round score allowed her to finish in 38th.

Emily Floyd was the next Warrior to finish in the Emerald Coast Classic.  She shot an 85 and 81 in the first two round and then shot an 87 in the final round for a 253 total round score.  Her total round score allowed her to finish in a tie for 39th place.  Behind Floyd, Jesse Dalton finished in a tie for 50th.  Dalton shot an 85, 92 and 89 over the course of the tournament for a 266 total round score. 

Sarah Page was the final Warrior to finish during the tournament.  Page shot back-to-back rounds of 94 in the first two rounds before shooting a 95 in the final round to give her a 283 total round score.  Her score allowed her to finish in 62nd.

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will then take part in the Cherokee Valley Intercollegiate on March 23-24 in Tigerville, SC.  The Warriors will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on April 5-7.
