Box Score 2 Dahlonega, G.A. - Southern Wesleyan fell in a doubleheader to North Georgia in 8-0 and 4-0 final scores.
The Warriors had no hits in game one, but Lydia Clanton and Taylor Le each drew walks to earn a spot on the bases. Delanie Laudenbacher had two strikeouts through two innings and Makayla Sexton finished the next two innings with a strikeout of her own.
In game two, Jaliyah Sanford and Addie Nugent each posted hits. Taylor Le, Lydia Clanton, and Delaney Byers each drew walks but were unable to round all the bases. Ashton Martin pitch the first three innings for the Warriors and had three strikeouts. Emma Collins would close out the last three innings by adding four strikeouts.

How It Happened
Game One
North Georgia jumped out in the bottom of the second inning to go up 2-0 early on the Warriors. In the third inning, the Nighthawks added four more runs to take a 6-0 advantage. In the top of the fourth inning, Lydia Clanton was able to draw a walk to get on base for the Warriors, but she would be left stranded as no one else could get on. The Nighthawks would add two more runs and Taylor Le would threaten with a walk in the top of the fifth, but North Georgia would go on to win game one, 8-0.
Game Two
The Nighthawks jumped on the board in the first inning and again in the second and third inning before the Warriors could come up with a hit. Jaliyah Sanford and Addie Nugent each singled in the top of the fifth, but were unable to score as they ended up left on base. North Georgia tacked on one more run in the sixth inning and they went on to win game two, 4-0.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will continue to compete in the Cottrell Foundation Tournament at North Georgia on February 14 as they take on Southern Indiana at 12 p.m. and Gannon at 4 p.m. They will close out the tournament on February 15 as they play Gannon at 10 a.m. and finish with West Chester at 2 p.m.
