How It Happened
Emileigh Swords led the Warriors in the first round of the tournament. Her first and second round scores of 80 allowed her to finish the first tournament of the spring semester with a 160 total round score. Her 160 total round score allowed her to finish in a tie for 13th place. Behind Swords, Emily Anderson shot an 89 in the first round and an 85 in the second round. With a 174 total round score, Anderson finished in a tie for 45th.
Jesse Dalton and Sarah Page were the next two Warriors to finish. Dalton shot a 95 in the first round before coming back to shoot a 88 in the second round to give her a total round score of 183 and put her in a 58th place finish. Page followed with a total round score of 188. She shot a 95 on day one and then a 93 in the second round of the tournament. Her score allowed her to finish in a tie for 59th.
Kaylia McIntyre wrapped up the field for the Warriors in the Spring Kick-Off Intercollegiate. The sophomore shot a 91 in round one and then a 100 in the second round for a total round score of 191. She finished the tournament in 62nd place.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Hilton Head, SC to take part in the Battle of Hilton Head on February 24 and 25. The Warriors will then travel to Destin, Florida March 8-10 to take part in the Emerald Coast Classic hosted by the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
