"This week was a huge step forward for a young team. We were able to get some wins against some nationally ranked teams and gaim some confidence. The next step will be putting three solid rounds together and competing to win a tournament."
How It Happened
Zach Huebner and Ty Campbell led the Warriors during the Newberry Invitational with both finishing in a tie for 13th place. Huebner shot 74 in round and went on to shoot 73 and 74 in rounds two and three. Campbell shot a 77 in the first round. In round two, Campbell shot the lowest of any Warrior in the tournament with a 69. He then had a 75 in the final round.
Finishing in a tie for 21st place, Eric Shea shot scores of 70, 73 and 80 to give him a total round score of 223. Noah Mullens and John Keffer each finished in a tie for 78th place. Mullens shot 77, 79 and 83 during the tournament, while Keffer shot 81, 78, and 80.

Southern Wesleyan will next compete in the Southern Tide Classic hosted by Limestone College in Greenville, South Carolina on March 5-6.
