Southern Wesleyan Unable to Pull Ahead of Flagler

Sumter, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan fell to Flagler College in a final score of 8-1 on Saturday afternoon.

 

Game Vitals:

Final: Flagler 8, Southern Wesleyan 1

Record: Southern Wesleyan (3-7 / CC 0-2), Flagler (9-2 / 3-0)

 

How It Happened

In doubles action, Flagler took all three matches.  The Warriors threatened in each match, however.  Camilo Sandoval and Daniel Bolivar fell 8-6, and Urs Widow and Harry Reed fell in a final match score of 8-5.

The Warriors took one of six in singles action.  Jacob Chesney was the sole Warrior to win a match taking his sets 6-3 and 7-6(3) against Niklas Heil.  Daniel Bolivar challenged in his matches, but fell 6-4 and 6-3 to Felipe Carvalbo.

 

What's Next

The Warriors will next play in Conference Carolinas competition on March 11 and 17.  On March 11, Southern Wesleyan will take on the North Greenville Crusaders and then they will take on the Limestone Saints on March 17.  The Warriors will then travel to Lees-McRae on March 24.
