Warriors Bested by Tornado in Conference Action

Bristol, TN – Southern Wesleyan falls to King in a final of 6-3 in Conference Carolinas action on March 25.

Coach Jernigan Says…

"Great college match today. We played well, but King played better. Hats off to them. I'm really proud of our guys for their fight and believing in themselves. We are really improving and starting to really click. Have to continue to work and be ready for two great teams next weekend with Pfeiffer and Belmont Abbey."

 
 

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took one of three in doubles action to start off the Conference Carolinas match against the Tornado.  Camilo Sandoval and Daniel Bolivar led the Warriors in doubles play on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Tornado team of Feliciano and Loque in a final of 8-5.

The Warriors took two of the six singles matches.  Camilo Sandoval led the Warriors yet again, taking his singles match 3-6, 7=5 and 7-5.  Jacob Chesney took the final singles win for the Warriors, defeating Jabalay in a final of 6-1 and 6-4. 

 

What's Next

The Warriors will next travel to Pfeiffer to take on the Falcons on March 31, before continuing their road trip to take on the Belmont Abbey Crusaders on April 1.  The Warriors will remain away on April 10 to travel to Erskine to take on the Flying Fleet.
