Warriors Rise Above Mars Hill

Central, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan rises above to the Mars Hill University Lions in Men's Tennis in a final score of 7-2 on Monday afternoon to bring their season record to 3-4.

How It Happened

The Warriors took all of the doubles actions on Monday afternoon.  Camilo Sandoval and Daniel Bolivar took the first set 8-6.  Southern Wesleyan went on to take the next two doubles matches 8-4 and 8-0.

 

In singles action, the Warriors took four out of the six matches.  Senior Jacob Chesney would shut out the opponents 6-0 and 6-0 in his match for the Warriors to claim a win.  Camilo Sandoval would win his match 6-2 and 3-0, Urs Widow would win his sets 6-3 and 6-1, and Stan Grzeslo would win 6-1 and 6-1.  Mars Hill put points on the board in each of the other matches to win the other two matches of singles action.

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will begin Conference Carolinas action on Friday, February 24 at 3 pm as they will take on the Mount Olive Trojans, before facing the Barton Bulldogs on February 25 at 11 am.
