Box Score MISENHEIMER, NC- Southern Wesleyan posted a .449 hitting percentage enroute to a 3-0 sweep of Pfeiffer in Conference Carolinas volleyball today.
Pfeiffer (0-7, 0-2 CC) was held to an .086 hitting percentage in the match. Southern Wesleyan (3-7, 1-2 CC) was led by Sarah Hughey and the blistering .684 hitting percentage she had on the day.
Hughey had a match-high 14 kills, and Paige O'Conner chipped in with 10 kills, posting a .526 hitting percentage with a team-high seven digs. Setter Annika Jones notched a great performance picking up 36 of the team's 42 assists for the match. Milicia Stamenic added eight digs in the win.
"It felt good to get our first conference win," stated Julia Reininga. She added, "the entire team contributed and we will now get back to work as we prepare for our next match."
Next up for SWU will be a trip to Tigerville, S.C. on September 21 as the Warriors will play North Greenville.
