DUE WEST, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan's men's tennis team defeated Erskine 6-3.
The Warriors (3-9, 2-1 CC) went 3-3 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles play.
In singles competition, Camilo Sandoval defeated Ritwik Bhriguvanshi 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1, Keegan Barkley defeated Eddie Gullino 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 5, and Urs Widow defeated Mateo Caredo 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 6. Fabricio Lanza defeated Stan Grzeslo 6-1, 5-7, 10-6 at the No. 2, Alan Pearce defeated Daniel Zapata 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 3, and Andre Andre defeated Harry Reed 6-3, 7-6 (11-9).
In doubles competition, Grzeslo/Barkley defeated Pearce/Lanza 8-3 at the No. 1, Sandoval/Zapata defeated Andre/ Bhriguvanshi 8-4 at the No. 2, and Reed/Widow defeated Laredo/Gullino 8-1 at the No. 3.
Southern Wesleyan next hosts Belmont Abbey March 17 for a 2 p.m. match.
