BREVARD, N.C.- Southern Wesleyan's men's tennis team defeated Brevard 6-3.

The Warriors (6-10) went 4-2 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Daniel Zapata defeated Tim Hengst 6-7, 6-2, 10-6 at the No. 3, Keegan Barkley defeated Chris Plasa 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 4, Urs Widow defeated Dan Taylor 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 5, and Harry Reed won at the No. 6 by default. David Taggart defeated Camilo Sandoval 6-7, 7-6, 10-3 at the No. 1 and Tom Mittring defeated Stan Grzeslo 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 2.

In doubles competition, Sandoval/Zapata defeated Hengst/Plasa 8-4 at the No. 2 and Widow/Reed won at the No. 3 by default. Taggart/Mittring defeated Grzeslo/Barkley 8-3 at the No. 1.

Southern Wesleyan next hosts Limestone April 1 at 3 p.m.
