Bobcats Fall to Warriors

CENTRAL, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan men's tennis team defeated Lees-Mcrae 5-4.

The Warriors (5-9, 4-1 CC) went 4-2 in singles play and 1-2 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Camilo Sandoval defeated Joao Araujo 6-2, 7-6 at the No. 1, Daniel Zapata defeated Sebastian Zuhr 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 3, Keegan Barkley defeated Cole Douglas-Fields 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 5, and Urs Widow defeated Thomas Deeley 2-6, 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 6. Gabriel Muniz defeated Stan Grzeslo 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 2 and Garrett Lakey defeated Harry Reed 7-6, 6-4 at the No. 4.

In doubles competition, Widow/Reed defeated Fields/Deeley 8-3 at the No. 3. Araujo/Muniz defeated Grzeslo/Barkley 8-6 at the No. 1 and Lakey/Zuhr defeated Sandoval/Zapata 8-7 at the No. 2.

Southern Wesleyan next host Pfeiffer March 25 at 3 p.m.
