Trojans Down Warriors

PENDLETON, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan's men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Anderson.

The Warriors (0-3) went 1-5 in singles competition and 0-3 in doubles competition.

In singles play, Keegan Barkley defeated Ramiro Urreta 8-3 at the No. 6. Alijaz Cajzek defeated Camilo Sandoval 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1, Nicolas Ascarrunz defeated Daniel Zapata 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 2, Mateo Rivas defeated Stan Grzeslo 7-6, 6-2, and 10-5 at the No. 3, Paul Michael Calhoun defeated Harry Reed 8-7 at the No. 4, and Inaki Iriberri defeated Urs Widow 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 5.

In doubles play, Ascarrunz/Calhoun defeated Sandoval/Zapata 9-7 at the No. 1, Rivas/Cajzek defeated Grzeslo/Widow 8-4 at the No. 2, and Iberri/Urreta defeated Barkley/Reed 8-1 at the No. 3.

Southern Wesleyan next hosts Lenior-Rhyne Feb. 12 at 2 p.m.
